#JOIN2019: Getting Started with Programmatic LookML Generation

November 22, 2019
#JOIN2019 Session No. 15: "Flexible Schemas, I'm Gonna Automate You" The flexibility of LookML in data modeling allows an analyst to lock in business logic for reuse each time a SQL query is generated. However, it's often much more effective to rewrite LookML programmatically, using logic from the database information schema to define new dimensions and measures. In this session, Hugo Selbie and Russel Garner of #Looker will demonstrate a modeling approach to getting started with programmatic LookML generation.
